I'm delighted to let you know I've been selected as a finalist in the Heyesen Landscape Prize. My drawing Carrickalinga no.5 has been successful.
Drawn using freely painted ink overlayed with micro fine Rotring engineering pen markings. Creating patterns to represent aspect of Carrickalinga's shoreline.
Geometric patterns for human construction. Tightly drawn circles less than a millimetre in diameter referencing grains of sand. Patterns more reminiscent of flowing nature representing sand dunes of National significance. Finally, patterns with water or ocean references.
My hope is that this abstracted cartography offers a new artistic experience for audiences and judges alike.
I would like to extend an invitation for you to attend, more details regarding dates and time will be shared soon.
