A Bit About Leith
Leith values patience, persistence, attention to detail, and expansive artistry in his work. His intricate drawings, created using magnification tools and ultra-fine engineering pens to make marks smaller than a millimetre, take months to complete, with larger pieces extending up to 10 meters and requiring years of dedication.
His contemporary abstract art explores several key themes: it reflects the local of Carrickalinga North, particularly its significant dunes and the threats of climate change.
Leith draws patterns from various cultures and eras to create abstract cartography influenced by Japanese and Southeast Asian traditions. Additionally, social and queer themes are central to his work, documenting queer identity and the global impact of HIV in marginalized communities, often in collaboration with international health outreach organizations.
Leith's art has been showcased at numerous global conferences, including his Saint Sebastian HIV/AIDS Memorial, previously displayed at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia.
He has been honoured twice as the official portrait artist for the South President and has received accolades such as the Queen's Award and the Mendelson Award. His collaborations with companies like Glaxo Wellcome Pharmaceuticals International emphasize the connections between art and entities.
As a finalist in various national and international awards Leith is recognized as a distinguished artist, with his work exhibited alongside icons like Yoko Ono and Andy Warhol.
His art can be found in Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, India, Germany, the UK, France, Spain, the USA, Canada, and the Rosenkranz Collection Bremen. Leith provides exceptional artwork that captivates audiences.

RIP Bailey (2012-2025)
In loving memory of Bailey, my three-legged companion, who brought joy and inspiration to my life and work. Named after him, the Tripod Dog Gallery stands as a testament to our incredible journey together, covering over 46,000 kilometers on our tricycle adventures. Bailey was more than a pet; he was a dedicated dog and a beloved TV celebrity, earning the title of South Australia's Best Pet. His spirit and love continue to resonate in my heart, and he will always sorely missed.
