If we haven’t met before I am an artist from Carrickalinga South Australia who specialises in ink or graphite drawings, and the occasional painting and photography as media of exploration.
I am inspired by traditional Japanese abstract drawing techniques and Western map making or cartography. My art is semi-abstraction mapping the impact of Climate Change upon our beautiful coasts I particularly enjoy exploring the coast of Carrickalinga, South Australia.
Carrickalinga is my favourite place to exist, relax, and be happy. A tiny isolated community of holiday houses nestled within a secluded cove, long sandy beaches, and sand dunes. Framed by dramatic sea rock bluffs and rolling farmland hills; truly bliss.
However even here the effects of climate change and ocean plastic pollution are beginning to show signs of degradation.
My art maps mostly reference the precariousness of our inter tidal zones.
Previous exhibited nationally across Australia, and overseas in the USA, Canada, UK, France, Spain, Singapore and Japan; becoming winner and finalist in numerous Art Prizes and Awards.
It has also been an honour to complete many Portraits for numerous people from all walks of life. Twice being chosen as the official portrait artist to the South Australian Parliamentary President has been an exceptional honour.
Awarded a Master of Visual Arts, as winner of the Queen's Trust of Australia and Mendelssohn Awards, as well as finalist in many prestigious drawing and art prizes, I am immensely proud of my art career over the past 20+ years.
Wishing you well and a lovely day.
The name Tripod Dog Gallery grew from our resident three legged studio dog Bailey.
Apart from being a crucial artistic contributor, Bailey has become a bit of a celebrity in his own right. Bailey has made numerous television appearances and has previously been awarded Adelaide's Top Pet.
