Carrickalinga Rock in Graphite (unframed), by Leith Semmens

SKU: studio
  • This Graphite Drawing (lead pencil) is an exploration of the the emerging impact of climate change and coastal degridation upon inter-tidal zones of Carrickalinga Beach. I am trying to record the current state of beautiful Carrickalinga intertidal zones before climate change fully impacts the region.  It is qustionable if future generations will be able to see the waves chash upon these multi-coloured rocks, smell the seaweed washed ashore of walk the long white sandy beaches.

Made from thousands if not millions of tiny diagnial and parallel lines drawn using a magnifying glass, this drawing reveals itself from a distance.

This drawing is delivered unframed, however framing can be added at additional cost.
